Kenath Shamir, M.D., was named the 2016 Community Clinician of the Year by his peers at the Bristol South District of the Massachusetts Medical Society. He received his award at the Society’s annual meeting on April 19, 2016.
The annual award recognizes Society member physicians for their professionalism and their significant contributions to patients and community. Honorees are chosen by the Society’s 300-plus members who practice in Bristol County.
Dr. Shamir is board certified in Internal Medicine and has practiced at Truesdale since 1990. He is active in the medical community. On staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital, he is a past chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at Charlton and currently serves as chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He is also a member of the Truesdale Health Board of Directors.
Dr. Shamir is a long-standing member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and has held several Society positions, including his current membership on the Board of Trustees.
